Why me?
Ever wonder why troubles arrive all at once or at the worst times? Let’s think deeply about ourselves, as we try to find the answers to those deep questions. We’ll be seeking understanding, consolation, and a glimpse of the deep wisdom behind the Qadr that lies hidden in life’s ups and downs by being a steadfast believer in guidance from Allah سبحانه و تعالى.
Understanding Life’s Challenges
Not only in Islam but in other religions, the concept of life as a test or trial is common. Problems don’t just happen by chance, they are part of a divine plan to make us stronger in our faith, character, and patience. From this perspective, we can stop asking ourselves “Why me?” and start realizing that every struggle is a chance to grow spiritually because Dua is a source of strength.
Seek Guidance through Prayer
Dua (prayer) is not merely a recitation of words, it is a meaningful conversation with the Almighty Allah سبحانه و تعالى. In moments of distress, turning to prayer permits us to express our issues, fears, and hopes to the only One who can give our hearts ultimate peace because there is not a single problem that Allah cannot solve. As you surrender your worries to Allah سبحانه و تعالى, be assured that you are never alone in your struggles.
Trials: Blessing in Disguise:
The Prophets, in times when things seemed impossible to handle, relied on their faith, knowing that Allah’s knowledge was greater than theirs. They found peace in the middle of chaos created by their people by believing in the greater purpose. They set an example for us to follow.
Sa’ad bin Abi Waqas reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, which people are tested most severely?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “They are the prophets, then the next best, then the next best. A man will be tested by his level of religious commitment. If his religious commitment is strong, he will be tested more severely, and if his religious commitment is weak, he will be tested by his religious commitment. The servant will continue to be put to trial until he is left walking upon the earth without any sin.” (Tirmizi: 2398)
Acknowledge the Power of Positivity
Keep a positive attitude, even when bad things happen. Practice being thankful for the good things in your life, even if they seem small. Instead of reflecting on what you can’t change, pay attention to what you can. When you shift your outlook from hopelessness to optimism, you give yourself the strength to handle life’s challenges with strength and grace.
Connect with a Supportive Community
Surround yourself with a group of believers who will back you and cheer you on as you go through your life’s difficult phases. Share your burdens with trusted friends, family, and mentors for guidance about your problems. You can get strength from each other and find comfort in the company of like-minded people.
Growth requires understanding life’s challenges. Life’s challenges are blessing in disguise to make us firm believers. You may be crying at night and smiling in front of others to hide your pain, but never feel that Allah سبحانه و تعالى has abandoned you and you are alone. Because:
“Your Lord has not abandoned you, nor has He become hateful of you. And the next life is certainly far better for you than this one. And surely your Lord will give so much to you that you will be pleased.” (Az-Zuha: 3-5) ❤
Remember, dear reader, that every problem is a chance to learn and grow, and every setback is a way to a deeper awareness of our faith. Take a deep breath and remember that the Almighty’s divine light is shining brightly on your road, guiding you through life’s challenges.
Can you remember a time when you felt deeply relieved after expressing your fears and doubts to Allah سبحانه و تعالى? Share your experience with fellow readers to motivate them.
