Last December, a chance meeting during a training session with Brother Nadeem Ashraf—where we connected with the founder of Unapologetic Muslimah (UM)—sparked the idea for a joint session. Although initial plans faced several delays, both teams finally committed to a collaboration, with a target date set for December.
The goal was a unique partnership: UM would host the main session, while Dawah Motivation (DM) Karachi would collaborate, showcasing our signature style of Dawah. This event served as a crucial opportunity for DM Karachi to gain valuable exposure.
⭐ The Event Comes to Life
The plan was successfully executed on December 7th at the Ribat Institute. The venue offered a superb ambiance. The first half of the event featured UM’s indoor speaker session. Excitingly, DM Karachi’s segment—scheduled for the second half before dusk—was held outdoors in a cozy garden setting.
We set up our presence strategically: an attractive table featuring flyers, brochures, and Polaroids was placed at the center of the garden, beside a tree, creating an engaging focal point. Our newest and most energetic member, Rahima, beautifully captured the entire experience.
💡Connecting Through Dawah
Observing that the audience was already practicing, the DM core team designed a small, tailored activity: a brief, instant role-play intended to demonstrate the fundamentals of Dawah initiation. This approach aimed to help the audience grasp the core of what DM stands for.
Following a concise introduction to DM and Dawah, Sister Yesaa conducted the activity, successfully piquing the audience’s interest. The segment concluded with an open invitation for attendees to bring any queries directly to DM Karachi’s head, Aisha Tariq, at the stall.
❤️ An Overwhelming Response
Moments later, the audience began gathering at the stall. Aisha Tariq expertly addressed every question, engaging some attendees in groups and others individually. The overwhelming interest and energetic response from the audience were truly inspiring.
Many expressed genuine concern for their friends and family, seeking ways to give Dawah with wisdom (hikmah). This reaffirmed our mission: countless individuals are seeking guidance—not only to improve their own lives but also to empower others.
In conclusion, the core team—including Aisha—gathered in the garden for a post-event discussion, reflecting on the valuable lessons learned from UM regarding teamwork and execution. The collaboration proved to be a meaningful learning experience for DM Karachi, paving the way for future initiatives.
