The last few days have been extremely productive, Alhumdulillah. Campus dawah and 2 Campus dawah training sessions
I had the honour of training two different societies from two different institutes. The Punjab law of colleges ( PU) and FC college (Former Christian)
I think for YC and dawah in this part of the world this is a critical breakthrough. Training these societies means planting seeds of duaat for the next few years and beyond. Especially when you think about FC. This is an institute where the fitna is at such a level that even myself, coming from the UK, the west, I was startled by seeing this. This is a place where Christian missionaries have a history of activism, Liberal thought is rife and feminism is spreading and the new menace of Lgtbq+ creeping through.
So imagine that if these students who attended the Training session find the courage and strategy to effectively engage with the local student populace.
I covered themes such as initiation, confidence, what to say and tawheed.
So FC and PU, which has a large student population will hopefully will be impacted by the effective dawah strategies of these societies. I ask you the reader to make Duas that this happens and I gain Sadaqah jareya
Day 2 WOC. This Was an even busier day than yesterday. We held a stall at the buzzing University of Lahore.
We had numerous dawah conversations with students but I want to highlight a couple of interesting ones.
John was looking at the stall in a curious manner. ( This is why we put out colourful pamphlets with eye catching lines). During the conversation when I found out he was Christian, as usual I asked him if this belief is something he truly believes in or something that is cultural and following family. He said a bit of both. After trying to explain in the mist simplest terms that Jesus cannot be God or be a son of God, he nodded. I realised it’s better if I just educate him and see if his Fitrah will respond in the near future. I spoke about the glory of God. What relationship we have with him, when it comes to having full trust, his mercy, his unlimited love, his independence. He listened and took away some flyers. May Allah guide him.
The other interesting situation took place when two different guys tried to question about me about creedal issues. When I inquired why he’s so eager to ask these Qs, he didn’t budge. Then another guy from my left side came and wanted to ask about the essence of Allah. Even though I didn’t mind a discussion, as I love talking about Allah, this was not the time nor the place. Around us a steady growth of students formed a large circle. Discussing deep discussions about Allah, would cause doubts and perhaps confusion whereas what we need to discuss are foundational basics, bad habits, addictions and haram relations!
What I did is ask the guy in front of me to move towards the left because others want to see the stall.. I cheekily moved him towards this other ‘argumentative’ guy. So what’s happened is got them to speak to each other and I physically turned my attention towards the general youth who were eager to engage and had questions about the purpose of life!
As duaat, on campus and street we need to be ‘street’ sharp. We need to be in control and focus on what the youth need and the whole pint of the stall.
The dawah tour continues..
